Unitarian Universalist Beliefs
To us, understanding is more important than believing. This is why we find it awkward to answer the question “What does your church believe?” With us, it is not the church that believes, it is each individual member who believes; and the beliefs vary from one to another, yet embrace the basic principles covenanted by the Unitarian Universalist Association.
We, the members of the UUFC, covenant to affirm and promote UU's 7 Principles:
- The inherent worth and dignity of every person;
- Justice, equity and compassion in human relations;
- Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations;
- A free and responsible search for truth and meaning;
- The right of conscience and the use of democratic process within our congregations and in society at large;
- The goal of world community with peace, liberty and justice for all;
- Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are all a part
