March 4, 2012 10AM We’ll share “Thoughts on Struggle and Survival.” March’s UUCCI movie, The Dresser, looks at life’s difficulties and challenges. The main character keeps repeating a common motto of the theatre business: “Struggle and Survive.” Life is tough. It always presents challenges, particularly as we grow older. How can “Struggle and Survive” be a motto not only for surviving, but for thriving? Rev. Dennis McCarty will speculate on what’s an important dilemma for actors and non-actors alike.

MARCH 11, 2012 10AM in acknowledgement of International Women’s Day Rev. Dennis McCarty will ponder, “Who Was Margaret Sanger?” Controversial in her own lifetime, women’s health activist Margaret Sanger has been no less controversial since her death. Some respect and revere her as the first great leader in women’s reproductive health issues and founder of Planned Parenthood. Others despise her as a ruthless racist, eugenicist, and destroyer of morality. Who was the real woman in the midst of all the stereotypes?

MARCH 18, 2012 10 AM Dick Wiley will speak. Details to come.

MARCH 25, 2012 10AM Rev. Dennis McCarty will share thoughts “On Dreams and Visions.” It has been said that “Without vision, the people perish.” But what is our Congregation’s vision as a liberal religious beacon in southern Indiana? What does that vision call us to do? Do we even have a vision of what our church should be--and if we don’t, how do we get one? On the day of our Annual Meeting, Rev. Dennis will share his thoughts.

APRIL 1, 2012 10AM Peace Camp volunteers will speak about "Why it is important to Teach Peace at UUCCI." More details to come.
