 Our Vision We strive to have a club that works diligently to promote our sport, by engaging all opportunities to bring new boaters into the club and then support them in their development while catering to all skill levels, with challenging activities for all. Who we are We are a group of enthusiastic paddlers dedicated to promoting the sport of whitewater canoeing, kayaking, and rafting. Initially formed in Salt Lake City in 1991 by a small but persistent group of local paddlers, the UWC now has members statewide. Activities and interests of the club include instruction, safety, organized trips, river issue advocacy, and having fun. We are an ACA Paddle America Club and an American Whitewater Club Affiliate
  Updates The UWC is hosting a WRT rescue course for members July 16/17/18 The UWC, in conjunction with Cold Water Kayak and Supply are hosting an Int/Adv paddling clinic in June. More info to come. River Permit Info- A new tab has been created with information on applying for permits at various locations. Thanks to Larry Stewart for putting this together. Check this out and start applying!
Club Bylaws- An amendment to the bylaws was presented to the membership at the club meeting in Oct, then moved directly to a membership vote and was ratified on 11-04-09, with all voting members in favor of the amended bylaws.
