If you want to receive emails whenever an announcement, schedule, or item is added to the USS Potomac Volunteers web site, you will need to create a Google account and subscribe to the USS Potomac Volunteers site. To create a Google account, do the following:

- On the “Create an Account” page enter the following:

Your current email address (the same address where you receive email)

Choose a password (use the same as your own email password)

Re-enter password (same password as your email)

Location (make sure it says “United States")

Word Verification (type the same word as shown above the box)
- Click on the “I accept. Create my account” button.
- Go back to your email and look for a verification email from USS Potomac Volunteers.
- Click on the first link in the emai to officially give you a Google Account.
- A Google page will appear with "Sites" about half way down.
- Click on "Sites."
- "USS Potomac Volunteers" will appear. Click on this link to go into the volunteer site.
- Or type http://sites.google.com/site/usspotomacvolunteers/Home in your address line and enter.
- Last step (very important) -- When in the USS Potomacs Volunteers site,
- Click on “More Actions” button right above the USS Potomac Volunteers heading. Select “Subscribe to site changes.” This will always send you an email when someone adds information to the site.
