Additional ways to access appropriate materials...Find specific journals in our libraryUse the JournalFinder to locate the full-text of journals in our library. These can be either online or in print.For Example: You found a book or an article that is very useful. Use the footnotes or bibliography to help you locate a JOURNAL from that bibliography. Here's what you found: Foner, Eric. 2009. "IF LINCOLN HADN'T DIED..." American Heritage 58, no. 6: 47-54. Academic Search Premier, EBSCOhost (accessed January 26, 2009). In the search box for the Journal Finder, type the name of the journal (NOT ARTICLE): American Heritage. This will locate the databases the journal is in. It can also tell you if we get the journal in print. Use Interlibrary LoanUse InterlibraryLoan if we don't have a book or article that you need.Step 1. Pick the appropriate form (either book or article) and fill out the required (*) fields. Step 2. Fill out the online form using your Ramapo Email (it will not be processed without that email address). Step 3. Submit your form(s). Step 4. Wait for your item to come in. CAUTION: give yourself time (it can take longer than 2 weeks in some cases) Don't want to wait?Use our our reciprocal borrowing program if the item is located at one of our participating libraries and you are able to get there. How does it work? Instructions for Ramapo Faculty, staff and students: 1. Fill out a VALE Reciprocal Borrowing Application Form (available from the Library’s Reference desk – 3rd floor). 2. Present the signed application form along with a photo ID at the participating library’s circulation desk. You will be issued borrowing privileges and/or a guest borrower card. Privileges are for one academic year and expire June 30th. To renew your borrowing privileges, you must present a new application form. 3. You will be responsible for complying with the lending library’s circulation policies, including loan periods, overdue fines, recalls, all replacement and processing fees, and for returning all borrowed items directly to the lending library.
