Welcome to the University of South Alabama Percussion Studies website. I hope you find this site helpful in gaining a further glimpse into the world of USA percussion. Here you will find information on all aspects of the percussion program including audition information, multimedia clips, performing ensembles, upcoming events and more. 

Percussion students at the university have the opportunity to experience a myriad of performance opportunities within the percussion department, including the percussion ensemble, world music ensemble, and marimba band, as well as the USA Wind Ensemble, symphonic band, jazz band, basketball pep band, and the USA marching band's JAG DRUMLINE.

Percussionists receive instruction in areas of percussion performance including orchestral percussion, chamber and solo percussion, timpani, marimba, drum-set and world percussion. Courses in percussion pedagogy and percussion literature are also offered to prepare students as educators.
