This Saturday, February 4, the University of South Alabama Department of Music will host the Mobile Music Teachers Association's annual Sonata Contest from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Approximately 300 students will perform in five venues for university-level judges in 30 divisions ranging from age 7 to adult. Pianos are provided by the University of South Alabama and Dollarhide's Music Center. The performances are open to the public.
