Urbana Band Boosters

We invite you and your student to participate in Urbana Band Boosters.  Urbana Band Boosters is for everyone in Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Marching Band and Color Guard.

If you have a student who is not yet in high school but is a part of the band program (or thinking about joining), you are welcome as well.  By getting kids and parents involved at a younger age, we make the program stronger, which is a benefit not only to those currently in high school but those who will be there in the years to come.

Time commitment can be a few minutes to hours depending on your availability.  

Our support of the bands includes:

·         Receptions after concerts

·         Helping with uniforms

·         Helping with Solo/Ensemble Contest when UHS hosts

·         Fundraising for student trips, year-end awards, special projects,…

·       Grant writing for funding opportunities

·         Coordinate ushers during concerts

·         Helping with the Guest Artist Concert

·         For Tiger Marching Band: chaperones, pit crew …

Join us for Booster meetings in the UHS Band Room at 7 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month during the school year.  

We use Google Groups for all notices and communications:  To join the Urbana Band Boosters Google group,

send an email to urbanabands @ gmail.com. (remove the spaces)  or use the signup below (note that depending on the browser you use, it may not appear to work.  If it works, it will send you an email to confirm that you want to join.)



The list is the easiest way for us to communicate and for you to receive information about all we have going on.
