The UHS Jazz Band will be playing at Champaign Central's 14th Annual "Swing Central". The event begins at 5:30 pm on Friday, March 2, at the Champaign Country Club. There will be swing dancing all night long to big band music from Champaign Central High, Urbana High, and Edison Middle School jazz bands. The current line up has Urbana playing a set beginning at 7:00 pm.

A generous "cut" of the profit from adult tickets sold to Urbana families is returned to the Urbana Band Boosters via a donation from Central Music Boosters. Ticket information is available at www.maroons.org/swing. That site will link through to a PayPal site where tickets can be purchased online. Alternatively, there is a form you can print and mail with a check. Admission includes a full buffet dinner and an entire evening of great music. A cash bar will be open. Ticket prices are $15 for high school students and younger, and $25 for adults if purchased by Friday, February 24; tickets are available for $20/$30 between Feb 25 and 28.
