The Upstate Young Marine program is a not-for-profit 501(C)3 Youth Education and Service Program for boys and girls ages 8 through high school.
 Our unit is managed by dedicated volunteers and parents. We rely on the support of our community partners to keep this program going strong. The Upstate Young Marines was established on February 19th, 2005. True success of this program is reflected in the young men and women participating in the program as they grow and go on the be the future leaders of our great Nation. The values, teamwork and leadership skills they learn will be utilized throughout their entire lives.

The mission of the Young Marines is to positively impact America's future by providing quality youth development programs for boys and girls that nurture and develop members into responsible citizens who enjoy, and promote, a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.

 

Our Vision

Young Marines Obligation

From this day forward, I sincerely promise, I will set an example for all other youth to follow and I shall never do anything that would bring disgrace or dishonor upon my God, my Country and its Flag, my parents, myself or the Young Marines. These I will honor and respect in a manner that will reflect credit upon them and myself.

Young Marines Creed

  • Obey my parents and all others in charge of me whether young or old.
  • Keep myself neat at all times without other people telling me to.
  • Keep myself clean in mind by attending the church of my faith.
  • Keep my mind alert to learn in school, at home or at play.
  • Remember having self-discipline will enable me to control my body and mind in case of an emergency.
