Hey Companions/Rangers,

I know it's been a long time, but you guys still owe me an assignment!!
Since you guys haven't turned in any assignment, I'm just going to continue to add on more assignments. So ya'll better pick it up or else all these assignments are going to pile up and you'll have tons of back work to do. Let's not let that happen, OK!!

So, first assignment:

-Expectations of the class. 1 paragraph.

-Spiritual Discovery: 1B. Check the Companion Record Card (attached) But in addition to the New Testament books, I'm going to ask you how the Old Testament books were grouped and categorized. So both NEW and OLD Testaments.

Next assignment:

-Spiritual Discovery IIIA:  Participate in a skit on the childhood of Jesus, and role-play before an audience. I want you guys to split into two separate groups and present this at our next AY class.
Group #1: Tabitha, Bianca, Elden.
Group #2: Cathlyn, Whitney, Nathan

-Health and Fitness: 1A: List and discuss 5 foods in each area: high in sugar, high in salt, high in saturated animal fat
1B: List and discuss 5 prominent family health problems, discuss areas of prevention for each

ALL of this is due the next time we meet for AY class! Not sure when that is, but I'll make sure to let you know as soon as I find out.
Thanks, Companions!!

heyooo.

Alright Companions, time to get to work!

I'm not quite sure when we will be meeting for our first AY class, but I'm just going to give you a heads up as to what you should expect in the next year. I will be posting the assignments prior to the class in which I will explain it to you. This way, if you are a super trooper pathfinder, you can start the assignment, finish it (if you're that awesome), and so if you had any questions regarding the assignment, you can ask me during the meeting. See how that works? So simple and quite convenient, right? AWESOME.
Secondly, I expect all assignments to be turned in ON TIME. Whether it be an assignment that you need to type out, you can send it to me via email or print it out and turn it in during the meeting, whichever works for me. If you have a project due or have some verses that you had to memorize, those can be done during the meeting also. If I assign a reading assignment for the week, I expect it to be read BEFORE the meeting and we will discuss what you read during the meeting. GOT IT??

So for your first assignment (refer to attached pdf file),
SCRIPTURE (section): Part B.
Recite in order the names of the New Testament books of the Bible and the four areas into which the books are grouped. Demonstrate your ability to find any book.

Simple, right?

Also, I will be giving you a new book to read. Can you guess what it is?? Steps to Christ!! YAY! It's an amazing book and I know you guys will love it. This will also be assigned to those taking the Ranger course, so those who are in Ranger, you're good to go :) I will assign chapters at a time, and you'll be required to fill out a study guide that I will provide later. So get ready to be inspired, because this is one of my favorite books and I know you will learn so much from it!

(By the way, the orange/underlined text are links.. So click away.)

Your ridiculously bored instructor (at work),
Melissa

Welcome!!
