Washing Away: On the one-year anniversary of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita devastating much of the Louisiana coastline and the New Orleans and Lake Charles areas, this documentary looks at stories of six Louisianans and how the storms affected the coastline, their land and their livelihoods. The characters share their stories and their knowledge of the larger impacts of coastal land loss on the environment, wildlife, economics, industry, culture and community.

Who Pays?: This documentary short lays out the scientific and legal rationale for oil and gas companies to put some of their record profits into fixing their legacy of coastal destruction in Louisiana. Created by filmmaker Walter Williams, this concise and compelling film is worth watching by all who are concerned about the long-term sustainability of New Orleans and Louisiana's coastal communities.

Dan Favre: Gulf Restoration Network Campaign Organizer, works with the Campaign Director to implement grassroots public education and outreach efforts to protect important Gulf habitats, such as cypress forests, throughout the Gulf. Dan received his B.A. in Sociology from Brown University and worked as a field organizer for the League of Conservation Voters and Green Corps through their 2006 Environmental Leadership Training Program.
