Why Join?

There are many benefits to being a club member:

• Free training in rock climbing and other outdoor activities.
• Use of club equipment, so you don't have to buy your own.
• Reimbursement for fuel, food and lodging on trips with the club.
• Meeting other students who love adventure and the outdoors.
• Discount at Stone Age Climbing Gym.
• Voting in club elections.
  

How to Join:

There are several ways to start your Mountaineering Club Membership:

1. Join Listserv
2. Come to a meeting: Check the home page for upcoming meetings.
3. Contact the club
4. Come on a trip


Dues:

All members (except officers) must pay dues of $30 each semester. The dues are payable at any of the meetings and are used to help finance travel, equipment, and meeting food for the club. If you are skeptical about paying the dues, you are welcome to come to a meeting and one trip as a trial (see below). Generous funding from ASUNM allows us to give members WAY more than $30 worth of  services in return for their dues. Simply compare your options: $30 for a three day trip to Moab as a club member vs. paying your own way. Add the fact that your $30 covers you the entire semester, not just for one trip.


Free Trial:

Those new to the club are encouraged to try us out. Please come on one of our many training trips without paying any dues! If you aren't hooked, you don't have to speak to us ever again.
