Friday 19 November: nevertheless and aidan's flame at HYPeR, Harrogate

Neverthelesshave played regularly across york; they were highly acclaimed at easter people in scarborough, 2004; this was their last gig for a while. special thanks to malcolm and all at rock tech for sound and light.

aidan's flame are a rapidly growing school worship band - now running several school assemblies and other school events in addition to gigs across harrogate; they were overwhelemd by the welcome they received when they performed as the warm-up band to thebandwithnoname.
an amazing event with HYPeR folk describing the music as manic...


friday 17 september: titus and steel machine double bill at st peter's, harrogate
doors opened around 7pm; energetic gig started 7:30pm until 10:00pm.
tickets (£5) available now from wesley owen (branchlines), harrogate, from six formers charlotte macdonald and kirsty wheatley at st aidan's school, harrogate, or on the door. 

both bands hail from the north east; titus are reknowned for their music - three chinese geordies in love with Jesus and rock 'n' roll; they've just played stage 2 at greenbelt with a totally committed energetic set. steel machine were very well received when supporting yfriday in harrogate in 2003. sound and light by jonathan anderson of titus live

wetherby event sanctuary ministries of mayhem day, saturday 17 july

in wetherby high school (map) beginning with a barbecue @ 12:30pm and loads of fun day events to follow; deck led worship @7:30pm; strictly for senior schoolers +. more info about future wetherby events from sanctuary ministries

united gigs-sanctuary ministries event - superhero and titus, 21 may 2004

united gigs thoroughly enjoyed working with sanctuary ministries to help bring superhero to wetherby high school (map) on friday 21 may. support band is titus - three chinese geordies! fab music and evening.

sound and light - well done mike deal from halcyon sounds of worcester.

tickets £5 available from wesley owen (branchlines) in harrogate, the ark christian bookshop in ripon, (map) and various venues around wetherby including the salvation army. doors opened around 7pm for 7:30pm start.


other events happening in the area
a good crowd turned out to the worship mix called "which road?" @ holy trinity ripon (map) on sunday 25 april (7pm to around 8:15pm). desctibed as "church for young people done by young people", the evening was like a pick and mix including lots of contemporary music, an audiovisual zone, meditation and quiet area, pizza, refreshments and the opportunity to put in your requests for the next event.

friday 26 march at gracious street methodist, knaresborough (map), yfriday returned on their acoustic songs of heaven tour. tickets limited to the first 200. first available at thebandwithnoname gig on 12 march, on sale at wesley owen / branchlines in harrogate. doors open just after 7pm

 


united gigs event: friday 12 march 2004, 7:30pm: thebandwithnoname - another top of the bill christian rock band. played in constance green hall at st aidan's school, harrogate.

the evening kicked off brilliantly with aidan's flame, the st aidan's school worship band. well done to mark pallant, john, matt, darren, ed d, katherine, imogen, ed y, chris, justin, and louisa, caroline, laura and alex. an evening of fab music, rap, dance and contrasts remembering the terror in madrid as well as worshipping god and hearing how exciting the christian life is.
aidan's flame merchandise was also on sale on the night. who said they should release an album right now?

thebandwithnoname must be the only band ever to be specifically set up knowing they were going to change their name, says topdog promotions. they add that, as the touring arm of the innervation trust, thebandwithnoname's vision is to have a similar band in every city in the uk and europe. music clips also available on the topdog site.

in the autumn of 2002, thebandwithnoname became the first christian band to perform sixty concerts in less than 90 days in the uk! top dog promotions had the pleasure of booking all sixty dates and also tour managing every concert with the band.
