In the June/July edition of ISTE's Learning and Learning Journal, I had an article published entitled In the August 2010 edition of ISTE's Learning and Leading magazine I wrote a Tip entitled In the February 2011 edition of ISTE's Learning and leading magazine I wrote Students Share Love of Books on Shelfari. On September 1, 2010 I was the guest moderator on #ntchat (New Teacher Chat) with creator Lisa Dabbs. On July 31, 2010, I presented on Classroom 2.0 with Maggie Tsai and Jason Schmidt about Diigo v.5. I spoke about how I use Diigo at Van Meter with students, teachers, and how it is a very important part of my PLN. In the November 2009 edition of the Iowa Association of School Librarians journal I had an article published entitled Staying Connected Outside of the Library with Web 2.0! In April 2010, Van Meter principal Deron Durflinger, superintentent John Carver, and myself presented at Teach Meet Nashville conference. This article was about the collaboration between myself and my friend John Schumacher, teacher librarian at Brook Forest Elementary in Oak Brook, Illinois On January 14, 2011 Deron Durflinger, John Carver, and I were featured on Ken Royal's The Royal Treatment talk radio show. Our presentation was entitled On July 13, 2010 my post Students' Place in PLN's was featured on Scholastic administrator Ken Royal's blog The Educator's Royal Treatment. April 12, 2010 I presented at the IASL Conference in Des Moines. Our session was entitled PLN Power! Check out the wiki IASL-PLN-POWER!
