PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE TO THE JUNE COMPUTER GROUP MEETING. THERE IS NO MEETING IN MAY
------------------------------------------------------- 2 April 2012 Dear Group Organiser (or designated group email contact), Sevenoaks U3A Handbook 2012-2013 With Spring and sunshine I’m sure your thoughts are turning to your entry in our new U3A Handbook. The design of entries in the next Handbook will be almost the same as this year, except shared groups will be identified by an S for groups run by Sevenoaks members and K for groups run by Knole members. Entries should be in the following format: Group title Group description The entry should describe briefly what the group does and be 70 words maximum. Contact details - Group Organiser’s name, telephone number and/or email address. If your group includes Sevenoaks and Knole members please add an S after the description. If you share an email address with someone who is also a Group Organiser please pass on this request to them. Timetable As always, there is very little slack in the timetable for preparation, proof reading and printing, so please email your entry by 7th May 2012, at the very latest, to Robin Tonge at: IF YOU WANT THE ENTRY IN THE NEW HANDBOOK FOR 2012-2013 TO BE IDENTICAL TO THAT IN THE CURRENT HANDBOOK FOR 2011-2012, (ie WITHOUT ANY CHANGES) THEN PLEASE DO REMEMBER TO ADVISE ROBIN. If there are significant changes to the current entry, such as a new group title, a new Group Organiser or the group is now shared, please also copy the email to me at u3asevenoaks@gmail.com, not my personal email. Last year, despite email reminders, a significant number of Group Organisers missed the deadline for submitting entries with the result that Robin had to spend a great deal of his time ringing people to ask for their entries. If you think you may have difficulty meeting the deadline please let Robin know as soon as possible. If you do not have an email address please arrange for one of your group members to email your entry to Robin by that date and if possible also designate an email address (preferably that of the same group member) to be included in the Handbook entry for contact purposes. If you have any questions about your entry for the Handbook please contact me at this email address (u3asevenoaks@gmail.com) or by 'phone. Beryl Mansell 01959 525010
