Relieve your income tax stress with FREE income tax return preparation and e-file

Keep your whole refund--no fees!

Union College economics students with IRS training and certification as IRS Certified VITA/TCE Volunteer Preparers will prepare and e-file free income tax returns again in 2010.   The photo above shows Professor Mary O'Keeffe with some of the 2009 student preparers:  Karin Santiago, Jacob Deveney, Vincent Chau, Jeremy Taglieri, and Sarah Scott.  Our site originally opened in January 2005, so 2010 will be our sixth season of e-filing FREE income tax returns for low and moderate income Schenectady taxpayers.  Since opening in 2005, Union College students have prepared and e-filed over a thousand returns for Schenectady working families and senior citizens.

With direct deposit available, your refund can be directly deposited in your bank account in less than two weeks.  Click here for eligibility requirements and  what to bring to your appointment.
