Behind the scenes business, and DIY Chicago

Post date: Sep 4, 2011 6:05:39 AM

I know that it appears that I haven't been updating much lately. I have actually been doing lots of "updates," but they consist of mostly cleaning up existing pages, and adding photos of other people's completed builds. (By the way, I really do enjoy seeing photos of other people's builds of my designs. I'll be the first to admit that my talent lies much more in designing speakers than building them. So nothing makes me happier than to see the ways people have put their own spin on the designs, and then enjoy them for years.)

In addition to the site maintenance, I've been working on a few major projects. First is the Event Horizon, a project so elusive I have wondered many times if I'd ever actually make it to the end. The others have been some very high-price 2-ways.

In the meantime, I have finally gotten around to organizing a DIY event in my own backyard. DIY Chicago 2011. This is something I've talked about for at least 2 years, but just couldn't quite get things to fall in-place. But now it's official. If you are going to be in the Chicagoland area on October 29, we invite to you stop by, and bring your projects--or if nothing else, your ears.

Finally, the Overnight Sensation flat packs mentioned here a few months ago sold out pretty quickly. So they made another 100 pair, and should be ready to ship shortly. If you'd like to order a pair, follow this link.
