Coming up ... lots of stuff!

Long time no post. It's been very busy around my house; having a big 1st birthday party for my daughter, and a big pileup of grading due to the end of the grading period. However, I have some good DIY projects to share!! I just need time to finish the writeups.

First up is that [MrkCrwly] finished a gorgeous build of the Core 2-way (XO posted earlier in this blog). It was very exciting to see someone take the simple, stoic look of the 2-way tower and turn it into a fine piece of furniture. His build thread is here.

Next is the Dayton Classic Revival a fun, small 3-way tower using the Dayton Classic drivers. The woofers are the DC160, which I have always enjoyed for their deep bass in a small cabinet. The mid is the DC50F silk dome mid. And the tweeter is the small-cheap-and-effective ND20FA-6. These are built in the same tower as the Core (above), and the Amiga/ZX Spectrum/TRS-80. Small footprint; classic look; big sound; inexpensive to build; I'm very happy! Build thread here.

And more news. The revised Sunflower crossover is nearly ready. A very nice member of the HTGuide forum is going to lend me a pair of the new RS225 to see if they are compatible withe the old RS225S. As soon as I get those, I can polish up the crossover, and published the new design (and it is a very new design. It's a very different-sounding speaker than original, and I'm very happy with this revision)

Finally... I am on the lookout for a pair of Seas W12CY-001. If you have a pair you're interested in selling, send me an email.
