As part of Service North Carolina, we are encouraging students to go out of their way to show kindness and compassion to others throughout the month of March. These actions more than anything characterize the legacy of Eve Carson's energy and spirit on campus. Below lies a guide of random acts of kindness, starting on March 5, that we hope will uplift the campus and make it a brighter place! Thursday, March 5: Tell someone what you love about them. Friday, March 6: Give a hug to someone who needs it. Monday, March 16: Surprise a friend with their favorite snack. Tuesday, March 17: Tell someone they are your role model. Wednesday, March 18: Tell one of your professors or TAs why you appreciate them. Thursday, March 19: Pick up trash you see on the ground. Friday, March 20: Tell your parents what they mean to you. Monday, March 23: Help a friend study for an exam. Tuesday, March 24: Write a thank you note to someone. Wednesday, March 25: Compliment somebody you have never met or rarely speak to. Thursday, March 26: Call a friend outside of UNC and tell them you appreciate them. Friday, March 27: Thank your housekeepers and other staff on campus. Monday, March 30: Send five of your friends pick-me-up text messages or emails. Tuesday, March 31: Tell someone why you admire them so much. Wednesday, April 1: Make an effort to say hi to people as you walk through campus. Thursday, April 2: Introduce yourself to somebody you do not know.
