11/6/2014 - Graduate student Ben Zhang successfully defends his Ph.D. dissertation and becomes Dr. Zhang!! Congratulations Ben!!

8/13/2014- Visiting postdoc Laura Gilberg will be returning to her postdoc position at Masarykova Univerzita Brno in the Czech Republic at the end of the week. The Isaacs group is very appreciative of Laura's hard work over the past three months. Today we celebrated Laura's time here at UMD by having lunch on Dr. Isaacs and getting in one more group picture.

7/22/2014 - The Isaacs group received a new 4-year grant (CHE-1404911; 2014-2018) from the National Science Foundation for our proposal entitled "Synthesis and Application of Cucurbit[n]uril Type Receptors"

7/19/2014 - Former Isaacs group postdoc Pritam Mukhopadhyay has been promoted to the rank of Associate Professor at Jewarhalal Nehru University.

7/15/2014- Isaacs Lab undergraduate researcher, Chris Knocke, has been awarded the College Park Scholars Outstanding Achievement award for his excellent academic and research achievements. Congratulations, Chris!

7/08/2014- Former Isaacs group graduate student Dr. Da MA has started his independent academic career at Fudan University, Shanghai, PR China, as part of the 1000 talents program. Congratulations Motor!

7/08/2014- Former Isaacs Lab postdoc Dr. Liping CAO has started his Independent academic career at Northwest University, Xian, PR China. Congratulations Liping!

6/10/2014- Dr. Isaacs gave an invited lecture at the 9th International Symposium on Macrocyclic and Supramolecular Chemistry in Shanghai, PR China.

5/19/2014- The Isaacs Lab welcomes visiting Postdoc Dr. Laura Gilberg! Laura is visiting from Assoc. Prof. Vladimir Sindelar's research group at Masarykova Univerzita Brno in the Czech Republic.

5/14/2014- Shweta Ganapati and Brittany Vinciguerra received certificates for their fellowships at the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry Graduate Student Awards Ceremony. Shweta received the Gary & Sue Christian Graduate Award for excellent performance and Brittany received the Millard & Lee Alexander Fellowship for Research in Chemistry.

5/2/2014- Kristin Benke, Isaacs Lab undergraduate researcher, defended her Honors Thesis and received Honors. She will graduate May 23rd and will begin graduate school at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign this fall. She plans to pursue her Ph.D. in physical chemistry.

4/25/2014- Liz Robinson successfully defended her Master's thesis. Congratulations, Liz!

11/2013 - Lyle delivered a Plenary lecture at the 3rd International Conference on Cucurbiturils in Canberra, Australia.
