The UMBC Political Science Council of Majors (PSCOM) strives to promote a sense of fellowship among Political Science students and provide a means of interaction between the students and faculty of the department. In addition, PSCOM works in conjunction with the department to increase distribution of political science materials available to students and increase awareness of alternative educational and career options. PSCOM is not affiliated with any outside organization or political party. All majors are encouraged to join. Our goal is to not only help students navigate through their four years here at UMBC, but also to students reach a new level of communication with their professors; a better understanding of politics, the political field, citizenship, volunteerism; and a sense of confidence, knowledge, and understanding of the world around them. PSCOM does not limit its membership--members come from all majors, all walks of life, and all backgrounds. We want you to join us if you're a major, a minor, or just a political enthusiast...or if you have the slightest interest in the field, good citizenship, volunteerism etc. Please join us for our next meeting...we look forward to meeting you! When do we meet? Wednesdays, Free Hour (12-1) Public Policy Building, Conference Room 354 The 2009-2010 Executive Board:
