Welcome to the website of the
Top End Branch of the Ulysses Club Inc.
A Short History of the Top End Branch
The Top End Branch was initially established in 1994 as the Top End Group. The Group was formed to service an area extending from Nhulunbuy in the east, to Kununurra in the west and Katherine in the south.
At that time, there were 21 members in the area. Today, in line with the national membership figure (which has surpassed 30,000 members) there has been a phenomenal growth, with well over 100 people now growing old and disgraceful in the Territory.
The aims of our branch are aligned with the Ulysses Club philosophy of providing motorcyclists of 40 years and over with a range of social activities involving motorcycling day trips, breakfast runs, overnight camping trips, social evenings, and Toy Runs in both Darwin & Katherine.
Annually, the Branch hosts a social event to benefit the Arthritis Research Taskforce. Monies raised are then given to NATCOM to help fund research into this insidious disease.
The Top End Branch strives to provide interesting activities for all Ulyssians. The Branch provides a Ride Calendar with regular weekly rides and overnighters during The Dry season.
Members and guests meet every Tuesday night from 5.00pm at the RSL Darwin North Sub-Branch (off Batten Road):
All activities are conducted in the true Ulysses spirit with "Ride Safe and Ride Far" being the motto. Most of all, just "Riding" is what we are all about.
The Branch publishes a Newsletter, normally every two months, which incorporates the Ride Calendar. They are sent out via the Internet, and some paper copies are available at club meetings. You can also download it from the Documents page.
If you're up our way in the Top End, make sure you call in and say "G'day!"
