The challenge you face is to discover a thinking process linked to ancient mysteries: the Green Language, Philosopher's Stone, Daath, etc.
This puzzle is a Western form of the Zen Koan that uses an innate right-brain language of thought, to produce a key to your higher consciousness. We have named the process ALT(Mx), which stands for the Alternative Language of Thought, and where 'M' is the modality with factor X. 'M' can also relate to Mentalese (the brain's hard code) or to metaphorical language (right-brain language of symbols), and also to Maslow's B-language.
This is a simple test of your aptitude for right brain thinking, using unconscious material from your higher mind.
The Short Method: Take the first three words that spring to mind (random, non-linear) and unpack them as symbols in the following context:
[1] = subject; [2] = external characteristics; Now try add the associations of symbols [2] & [3] What can be simpler? You can do this while walking or waiting, on a bus, in a car etc.
Don't worry about numbers 4 to 13 just yet.  The Long Method: To start, you will need a black pen, some blank paper, and some quiet time.
You will need to download unconscious material for the puzzle, and this means no cheating e.g. do not reject or repress anything, and record everything in the sequence it rises.
Imagine that Brain and Mind are linked by streaming consciousness. It will help if you are able to focus your conscious thoughts on a question, for a strong focus gets a more easily recognizable reply.
 There are other ways to get this material, but we can get into that at another time if you choose to continue working with this puzzle.
The easiest but yet most difficult method is to download random words that appear as nonsense e.g. [ 3,8,5 / d,k,t ], as opposed to the natural language of [ 1,2,3 / a,b,c ].
Or to put it another way: do not use words like [cat; mouse; cheese] that are clearly linked by association in a typical linear L-B output. Stop immediately and start again. Relax in the knowledge that you are trying to discover a lost right brain faculty, a mysterious language of thought. It should come naturally to you, so don't force it, have patience. Draw a template for yourself, consisting of three circles in which you will draw your words, covering half a page with enough space to work around. See the attachment. Write your question on the top (if you have one) along with the date and time. Don't worry if you don't have a question, your higher mind will present you with a download regardless.  The trick is to relax into a playful mode before letting words flow without any conscious interference. Can you do this? If not, then maybe you have a few mental blocks to get around. If you can, then concentrate on each symbol in turn, un-packing and recording only those associations that fit. It may help you to do some research on each of the symbols and the best site for this is www.thefreedictionary.com/ Your mind is a recorder, so work through your recent memories looking for a link with the symbol e.g. was it in a book, on TV, at work ... ?  Keep circling the symbols looking for clues in what-ever resource you have. Keep this in mind: your higher mind wants you to find it. This test can take anything from a few minutes to a whole week, or more. Sometimes the answer lies in your future, which means your higher mind has given you a puzzle to put you on the lookout for something important, something you may otherwise have missed. Most people aren't aware of synchronicity in their lives, choosing rather to write certain events off as simple coincidences. You need to wait for the gestalt to rise i.e. for an object to rise from the background, something that you recognize as the answer to the puzzle.
