CORAS, University of Salford
The Centre for Operational Research and Applied Statistics (CORAS) resides within the Management and Management Sciences Research Institute of Salford Business School at the University of Salford. Since its formation in 1988, CORAS has enjoyed a growing reputation for research in OR and Statistics. Activity is directed at the sustained development of high quality research programmes addressing substantial decision problems confronting Business, Industry, Commerce, Health Care and Government. Recognising that a single-discipline approach to real and complex problems is usually limited in its scope and potential, much of CORAS research is multi-disciplinary. Theoretical and prototype investigations are undertaken, which may be of an explorative nature designed to develop and test research methodology for solving a recognised modelling problem. |

Vanguard Strategy is a specialist brand strategy consultancy with offices in New York and London. Our work is global and we employ consultants from over ten different countries.
When we launched in 1998, the Vanguard name was chosen with care. Our name means we’re continually honing our approach, our ideas and our tools to be leading edge. We pride ourselves on our new thinking and our participation in debate and dialogue. We use proven and tested methodology, but we’re never stuck in our ways.
Our methodology is driven by the belief that Competing for Choice is the essence of strategy. Clients find this unique approach uncovers pockets of growth that have been overlooked by traditional methods.
We’re branding specialists and our dynamic approach enables us to understand and answer even the most complex questions that brands face. We’re recognised by clients as the best providers of these services. We’re often chosen for brand strategy projects over and above larger consultancies, such as McKinsey and Monitor, because we’re specialists. Brand strategy is all we do. |

Ventana improve performance by helping organisations make smarter choices. They leverage the collective intelligence of an organisation's people and experience to determine which choices are most likely to improve performance, and why. By converting mountains of information into clear, compelling stories rooted firmly in both data and experience, they help decision makers to understand the best path forward, and to communicate that path to the organisation. |
