Goals of UK-Social Networks Association:

UKSNA is a professional association for researchers interested in social network analysis. The association is a non-profit organisation keeping its accounts under the auspices of the University of Greenwich.
The principal functions of UKSNA are as follows:
  • sponsor an annual International Social Networks Conference in the UK;
  • maintain a web site with information of interest to members;
  • employ a mailing list with topics of interest to members;
  • maintain strong ties to INSNA and other international professional associations with similar goals.
The organisation's charter is available here. It is inspired by the statutes of INSNA, written by Professor Martin Everett.
 

Executive Committee:
The first formal elections for an Executive Committee were held in July 2009 and the term of the present executive runs until June 2012. Members are Dimitris Christopoulos (University of West of England and University of Bristol, Chair),Bruce Cronin (University of Greenwich, Treasurer/Secretary),Martin Everett (University of Manchester, Honorary Chair), Tom Alcott (The Social Networks Company, Industry interests), Riccardo De Vita (University of Greenwich), Bernie Hogan (Oxford Internet Institute), Paola Tubaro (University of Greenwich).


Conference Committee:
The Conference Committee is constituted by all those who have convened a UK-SNA conference so far: Federico Varese, Pietro Panzarasa, Bruce CroninDimitris Christopoulos, and Elisa Bellotti.

 
Membership:
Similar to INSNA, those attending the annual UK Social Networks Conference are automatically members of UK-SNA. Others can join by sending the Treasurer a fee (£10).
