Burma today:

Offer the people of Burma, the ‘means’ to restore democracy on their own terms, not on the terms of international dictators in the guise of saviours!

----------------------------------------------

Despotic rule with a democratic cloak fools no one, only perhaps those,  that are extremely naive and guilty of being culturally deaf dumb and blind outside of their own cosy little boxes, believing, that it is their celebrity following which has pushed the military regime into a corner.  It is quite the reverse that is true. The military regime has skilfully manipulated every step along the way since placing Suu Kyi under house arrest; instead, as many had expected to happen, that of deporting her as an undesirable alien, seeing that she was a British citizen, back to the UK.

Why would a tyrannical dictatorship invite unwelcome attention from foreign interlopers, to their illicit rule, by an act of harbouring a person that could be used as a tool, to their downfall,  unless, there is a greater motive, in a bigger game plan, with more than just the regime playing the game?

Over the years, many have questioned the house arrest of Suu Kyi, as opposed to her suffering the same fate of imprisonment as others.  No one is denying her respect as a human being, however, the admiration, and over the top celebrity hype bestowed upon her, is nothing more than staged.  Suu Kyi’s contribution has been choreographed by outsiders whilst the real fighters of Burma’s struggle, are ignored by those that pretend to care, because they would never bow down to foreign manipulation. Any future Burma may have that stems from present events, will be controlled by the manipulative policies of ; UK, China, and others, using Suu Kyi as a pawn in the middle, whereupon, the regime leaders can cheat the hangman, and give certain foreign nations what they want. This is not democracy in the making, rather it follows in the footsteps of a colonised puppet that puts wealth into the pockets of outsiders and their cronies, but leaves nothing for the people, not even their dignity.

The excuse tossed nonchalantly and callously, without guilt to the people, is; ‘Burma needs to build its wealth from selling its treasure before it can start to rebuild the country.  The real reason being of course, those countries pulling the strings want first; to secure their own foreign policy to a firm anchorage, pillage as much as they dare, set their foreign policies in stone, even to the point of creating a parallel Hong Kong, in banking terms, which is not so much a fairy tale as it may first appear, as it too borders China and as the evidence hints;  ‘the follow up, to the British Foreign Secretaries visit to Burma was  paralleled by Britain’s Chancellor, Mr Osborne, to none other than China; could there be a link one asks, especially as Mr Osborn boasts of a windfall deal struck between the two countries; Deal with China includes opening the doors of UK plc to Asian investors.   Trading floors in Hong Kong will open for five hours longer so currency trade continues while London financiers are at work.
The Chancellor announced he had struck the deal to make London the largest trading hub for Chinese currency outside China, worth trillions of UK£’s.  Is Burma being groomed as a middle-player in a game plan, set up by China and the UK, perhaps others also?

The secret of understanding world politics is not to close one’s mind to what may be assumed, as totally absurd!

It leaves a bad taste in the mouth and is a classic example of the dirty tricks used in world politics where people are seen as nothing more than a commodity, to be bought and sold without being allowed a voice, other than the one allocated to them by elements, hostile to their welfare, whilst   seeking out the nations treasure behind the backs of the people!

Many would-be Burma observers and do- gooders’, that are unfamiliar and/or, disinterested, with the cultural thinking of the people of Burma, will by now, be thinking that Burma is on the way to becoming a fine example of democracy in the making, they will of course be very wrong.

Burma, if it allows itself, to commit further into the present direction without the presence or voice, of a politically wise party, one that is heir to Burma’s first democratically elected Prime Minister; U Nu, whose present day leadership is not tainted with corruption, is wise to the worlds political whirlpool of deceit,  a political party,  that holds the people’s welfare as its major priority, it will become just another satellite of East and West, having no say in its own destiny, or how its wealth and strategic geographic location is used.   Already, foreign investment is  lining up, ready to cast the fruits of temptation; this is the first step of locking onto the strings of power, until finally, Burma will find itself so dependent on foreign funding, controlled by foreign banks, it will have no powers to determine its own future.  The beneficiaries of this long planned out entrapment, will be none other, than the top figures in today’s regime, saved from the hangman, the UK, China, and all the  hangers on, that put themselves, before the people of Burma.

The people of Burma will bear the brunt of being ruled yet again by tyrants in suits that have little interest in the welfare of its people.  Africa is a prime example of nations being held back and the continents mineral wealth of just about every element known to man, a wealth that could end famine and war in Africa, instantly, were they allowed to sell their wealth rather than having it stolen from them.  Africa has been exploited for generations by foreign manipulators and those native to Africa who have succumbed to corruption and tempted to work against their own people for reward, are helping to hold back advancement.  Is this how the people of Burma want to envisage their future, as economic slaves to richer nations, because this is the direction it is being tempted to take?

Burma, were it able to stand its ground as a Union, could have been a fine example to the world in many ways, and enjoy great riches from the nation’s wealth that the world is trying to steal. Unfortunately, it is in danger of losing alls it heritage, and being forced to become just another supplier to major powers, but without the social rewards.  Those ethnic nations that are considering joining the gravy train presently on offer would lose out the most.  Burma’s eastern border lies along mountain ranges, extending from the Chinese border in the north, south and south east to the River Mekong and the Indo-Chinese border (Laos) and then south and south west along the Indo-Chinese and then the Siamese (Thai) borders.

The western border, that with India, also runs along a mountain range - from the Himalayas near Fort Herz in the north to the Bay of Bengal in the south. The range includes the Naga Hills in the north, the Chin Hills in the centre and the Arakan Yomas in the south.

Any deal done, can only succeed with China, and India’s, blessing, which means, that the ethnic nations bordering these countries, will come under their jurisdiction, and treated as second class citizens, as is, Nepal to China.

Coming into play today, are the initial stages of breaking up Burma and sharing it among the big players, which would give-way to Burma’s mineral wealth being acquired without conflict with other interested governments.  The fact that Burma is seen as a fragmented nation with ethnic differences, that have for decades, been viewed as conflicting,  is excuse enough for the big players to coheres ethnic nations into accepting adoption into a bigger neighbours shopping basket.   No matter how colourful and pretty the picture is painted today by visiting politicians, and the media, the end result will be of a slow but sure, evaporation of ethnic identities.

This mechanism  has been witnessed all over the developing world where the word developing, simple means the big boys have not yet finished their pillaging, and will place obstacles in the way of any nation showing signs of  self determination.  Is this the way Burma wants to go?

Editorial

These pages are offered to the people of Burma, and any foreign national, genuinely concerned with the never ending suffering of its people, allowing perhaps, a different standpoint that has otherwise been denied to them, both by the military regime, to protect their own interests, and the rest of the world, to suit theirs. Whereas, we at UKorg, prefer to place the people of Burma at the forefront of concern, too allow them, the freedom to reach their own conclusions, and too make their own judgements once in possession of all the facts.

After 30 plus years of working in one form or another with the different political factions and among the people, we have laid out our conclusions for others too scrutinise. These are the freedoms, that Aung San, and Prime Minister U Nu, fought for.  Importantly, they removed the yoke of colonialism, severing the strings that manipulated their political/economical toys at will.

It is with great sympathy toward the people of Burma, that the fight was not vigorously taken up from 1990, with the same passionate dedication and sacrifice shown by both national leaders, Aung San, U NU, and their followers whilst the regime was still in a state of shock brought about by the NLD's victory.  The lack of any forthcoming mass follow-up support from the majority of the population reveals precisely, how limited the NLD's support was in real terms of a national majority vote, made obvious, by its inability to influence a major retaliation in what ever form necessary.  It meant simply, that only a very small section of the population voted, and the true limits of the NLD's ability to take advantage of what was, an opportunity to bring down the regime. Whereupon, in the absence of good leadership, lacking sufficient competence to manipulate events in their favour, with no workable infrastructure in place, advantage was lost, and replaced instead by decades of passive surrender, allowing the regime to firmly entrench itself.

It is apparent today, that due to the long running absence of any NLD clout, that may otherwise have enticed the regime to the table,  and failure to recognise the; Parliamentary Democracy Party, as an option that could make a valuable contribution toward achieving just that, political forces from both inside and outside of the country, prefer, it would seem, that Burma's first period of independence, and its first democratically elected government, under U Nu, to be its last. This is not, what Aung San and U Nu, and the many who gave their lives, and/or, freedom, would have expected!

It has been said, that the biggest stumbling block, preventing foreign assistance and the restoration of democracy has been the lack of unification, giving the impression that Burma lacks competent leadership on a national scale. Media promotion of celebrity does not equate to competent leadership at that level, of which the period from 1990, to the present day, has clearly revealed, However, those that were/and are qualified for the role, loyally supported the NLD and ASSK, only to become embroiled in the political quagmire of discontent!

Since the time of Aung San, and U Nu, no, one leader, has displayed the qualities to bring everyone together, more so, than, Bo Aung Din.  Since he accepted the responsibility of chairing the PDP(Burma) to which, under his leadership, has re-routed the political path, and raised new hope for all of Burma".

As with all political parties, and most organisations, leaders and members, pass away, or move on, but the group remains, therefore, those nominated to replace them take over their role with the right to govern with the same mandate.  Though policy may move away from a previous leader’s direction, party ideologies rarely change. Therefore, who better to continue party legacy to unite a free Burma, then the protégées, later to become the legitimate political successors to the party U Nu himself created, to lead the fight for restoration of his government, and democracy, led today, by, Bo Aung Din?

Together, today’s party members, possess priceless knowledge and experience in all areas of infrastructural and management capabilities, involving, political,  military, and governmental procedures and operations, and diplomatic skills, not seen in Burma since the days of U Nu, and U Thant.

In recognition of these attributes, over 35 countries recognised the PDP (Burma) as a political force holding all the right cards to restore democracy to Burma, offering full diplomatic recognition, and courticesies.

For every day, the world ignores the Parliamentary Democracy Party (Burma) the suffering of its people is prolonged. This blatant act of intimidation, is in-itself, a crime against humanity,  and contradicts all that organisations like the UN, boast about, and promote with words of wisdom that are lost in they’re contempt, but as an organisation, ignore, because someone is pulling its strings.  We see signs all over the world, as to the ineffectiveness of the UN, unless, it is operating in an area regarded important, to the foreign policy of its members, or, used simply, as eyes on the ground to gather intelligence, again to benefit certain members only.

Perhaps the Parliamentary Democracy Party, should take the UN to the court of human rights, or even the war crimes tribunal, as an accessory to Burma's suffering?  Perhaps there are a few brilliant young legal minds out there, willing to study the feasibility of such action, maybe, as a course study?

Judge only, after studying these pages in they're entirety.  We are always open to question, and/or, sensible and intelligent debate.

To encourage the formation of a balanced community, where groups within the pro-democracy movement share a common bond where self interest, whether personal or party, is absent until such time as the regime has been removed and a democratic system has been put into place allowing for registered voters to express their beliefs, promote their values and actively pursue a progressive society within Burma without fear or favour.

Objectives:

To increase awareness among the people of Burma, that unity is the only way forward.  To maximize effort toward achieving democracy by all means open to the pro-democracy movement. To support Democratic candidates for all elected and appointed offices, boards and commissions in Burma

A safe, secure Burma, fair wages, universal healthcare, first-rate education systems accessible to all.

That, as well as its own home affairs policies, Burma's foreign policy, must reflect the tenets of its constitution, the goodness of its citizens and its irrevocable commitment to continuity of human existence by peaceful means. That we must actively advocate and encourage these beliefs in our own local community.

That a democratic government is the only route toward confronting Burma's increasing challenges in addressing the development and quality of life issues.

Parliamentary Democracy Party (Burma)

GHQ (Liberated Area)

DAW AUNG SAN SUU KYI HAS BECOME A MOUTH PEACE OF THE MILITARY JUNTA

The General Ne Win's led army robbed power from the democratically elected U Nu's government in 1962. The same army regime, although changing the leaders one after another, is still grabbing power until now. Democracy, Human Rights, the Rule of Law and freedom were arbitrarily trampled under from the country since then. It is well-known that the army regime never treats the people as respectable citizens, but as slaves. The people can be seen as perpetual prisoners living inside a big prison compound. Economic, social and political conditions have continuously deteriorated since the army rule and now the country has fallen in to the UN category as of one of the poorest nations in the world. The standard of education, health, wealth and the future of the the people have become very low. Those who ask for democracy are severely punished by the army regime. In 2008, the referendum for the Junta Constitution was manipulated by using intimidation and bribery by the army. The PDP led the campaign to boycott the charade of a Constitution. Its campaign was successful as the majority of the people boycotted the fraudulent exercise. That way, the army took the first step of its next move for 2010 Fake Election, which also by using intimidation, coercion and guns they made themselves winners.

Since the army has now formed a new Junta, its next stage is to get recognition from the world. They also are trying to grab the Chairmanship position of the ASEAN group for 2014. The next stage is to bring investors from the world to make business investments in Burma. But like a tiger, which produces tail tapping sound against the ground while hunting, that alerts the prey of its presence around the area, the military leaders' intention of holding power forever can be seen by the way they have drawn the dictatorship constitution. According to the dictatorship Constitution, they have permanently taken 25% of Parliamentary seats, and already introduced another army general as a President.

The Junta is also selecting the members of a Military Junta of its own choice, to allow them to hold permanent power. Now, there are two identities to distinguish in Burma, the army dictators 'Permanent Masters' and the people 'Permanent Slaves'. All of us must continue to boycott that 2008 Junta Constitution, as our main target is to free ourselves from the fetters of the army regime. We must not forget that 'the mentality of the army is incapable of introducing democracy in a country'. People of Burma will never be free, as long as the army holds power in the country or participates in any governance capacity, except as a re-organised National Defence Army as General Aung San intended it to be.

That way, we can see that the 2008 Junta Constitution, 2010 Fake Election, is self-promotion of Permanent Masters desire to become the 2014 ASEAN Chairman, trying to draw foreign investors, are the major strategies designed by the army Junta. But the army Junta needs certain backing to fulfil their objectives, such as lifting of sanctions and to give the impression that they are on the way to gradually introducing democracy in Burma. They want the people of Burma to keep quiet while they are trying to achieve their objectives as well. They do not want the people of Burma to organise an uprising as what is happening in the Middle East and Northern African countries. They also definitely want to avoid the action and trials of war crimes against humanity at the International Crime Court in the Hague. In short, their hands are still dripping with the bloods of innocent people.

That valuable tool is none other than Daw Aung San Suu Kyi herself a failed politician, who is politically naïve, who had made political blunders repeatedly through her leadership of the NLD, in her political confrontation against the merciless military murderers whose hands are still dripping with bloods of the innocent people of Burma.

The military regime has been controlling her and her thought process since the beginning of the 1990s and they have now completely turned her into their mouthpiece and apologist. controlling her. She does not dare to say a word against the military regime now, except working as their mouthpiece, and recommending them and their wrong deeds. Those people who compare her with Nelson Mandela are rude and ignorant of the courage, indomitable will of the revolutionary who fought the Apartheid regime and led the ANC from prison and then won freedom for himself, colleagues and his country. I do not think that Mr. Nelson Mandela would act in the way that Daw Aung San Suu Kyi has acted. Similarly, if Margaret Thatcher, now Baroness, would never have meekly submitted to the intimidation of the Junta or allowed them to stay in power for more than 20 years. She would have thrown the impudent Junta Generals out of power and put them before a Military Court in about 12 or 18 months.

This is happening because, she is a spent politician who has failed in all her political confrontations with the Junta during the past 21 years and now nothing is left in her locker of skills to expel the military regime and to introduce democracy and a democratic government. She is only buying sympathy and attention from the people of the world, sinking herself under the control of the military regime, while the people of Burma continue to suffer. Have those young men and women of the 8888 uprising suffered and died in vain? Many of them are now about 40 years old. Some have been killed, others have died from wounds inflicted by the Junta, and others without employment, but still defying the military Junta, and other are languishing in the notorious prisons of the Junta been forgotten? The PDP will give them due recognition and look after them.

The rump of her party is in agreement and supports of the Junta leader - U Thein Sein's invitation to political dissident groups to comeback to Burma and work for the country. She said that she wants to forgive the army leaders, without any political bargaining chip.  The PDP advises people not to give affirmation to military rule and continue to oppose the regime until the people throw it unceremoniously. The people will win and those who have been killed by the Junta will be honoured and remembered. It is now over 20 years, she has not achieved anything yet. She is just floating above the oxygen of foreign propaganda media and NGOs, as if she is a leader for life!  She has betrayed Burma's National Hero General Aung San, his policies of Independences, democracy and vision of economic development in a democracy under the Rule of Law.

To the people of Burma, the PDP would like to say that the current development in Burma would not be hopeless for all of you. The PDP would not allow the military to grab power forever by using such despicable three-card tricks. We would not allow them to treat us as 'permanent slaves' and act themselves as 'permanent masters'. It is the greatest insult to the people of Burma. We would not allow Burma to be trapped in the quagmire of the military regime, where no freedom or future for everybody. How can we get freedom under the military rule, where they do not allow people even sleeping in their neighbour's house or knocking on our doors at night and arresting the owner of the house without knowing where they are being taken or when they will come back home. There is no security or peace under the rule of the army, let alone democracy or Human Rights. Please remember, the mentality of the army is incapable of introducing democracy and Human Rights in a country. They only use coercion, violence, murder and threats. The PDP will continue to fight to free the people of Burma from under the yoke of murderous military regime and to restore democracy with the aim of rebuilding Burma to become a peaceful and prosperous nation again.

(1)    Long Live the people of Burma, Down with the Military Junta,

(2)    Together we will succeed and become victorious over these brutal criminal and murderous Junta.

(3)    You are not civilians, you are the same murderous army who have committed high crimes against the people.

(4)    You will get your day of reckoning,

(5)    Remember the actions you have taken and are taking, you are being your own witness against yourselves.

Achieving democracy

Democracy will never return to Burma as a gift, it must be fought for, and won, as it was with all democracies, and only then with decisive leadership can it become a reality. That decisive leadership is waiting in the shadows until all others have been realised as incompetent and void of all the traits required to gain the trust and following of all.

The pages contained within the UKorgBurma web journal, give testimony to those that have proven beyond any doubt as to their personal contribution and sacrifice toward restoring democracy to Burma.    These loyal and dedicated people declare, as unselfish people would, that their efforts are to give future generations freedom and happiness, it would however, be ecstatically rewarding to witness their smiling faces if achieved in their own lifetime. These dedicated people, could have, very easily, sat back as many have and lived the good life in exile.

The people of Burma should never forget the sacrifices these men and women have made on their behalf, and that of Burma. They put the people before themselves, unlike the many pretenders that place themselves above everyone, these parasites have become rich on the pain and suffering of their own people.

"BURMA LAMENT"

Happy 5th. anniversary;  to the newsletter publication that reveals truths that others are afraid to tell

                                                            The 'Parliamentary Democracy Party' (Burma)

Ready to sever the chains of tyranny!

:-)
      Happy 5th anniversary;

5 years; of unequivocal, comprehensive newsletters, from the PDP (Burma).

Fast approaching, is the fifth anniversary, of the; PDP (Burma) newsletter, they have of course, been active, long before, as a major political body, in the struggle to restore democracy.

The Parliamentary Democracy Party (Burma) became a major player in Burma politics, after a long period of tolerating the NLD’s dismal failure at progressing forward, and the autocratic incompetence, of the NCGUB.

It was clear from the offset, that a weak opposition, no matter, how much international support, would not intimidate the regime.  Although this had been evident from day one, groups including the PDP, chose to stand loyal, behind the NLD, this loyalty however, was frequently abused, and taken for granted, just as a new King/Queen, would expect his/her  subjects, to bow down before them without question.

The PDP (Burma) finally severed the bond to the NLD, and shifted its loyalty back to the people of Burma.  It was abundantly clear, that the regime was not going to stand down, certainly not to the NLD, or Suu Kyi.

The PDP, (Burma) under the new leadership of Bo Aung Din, accompanied, by life long, loyal, dedicated members of the party, set about transforming the political scenery within the pro-democracy arena, and this they have achieved in great leaps and bounds.

Generally, news reports, before the, PDP (Burma), read more like a fictional drama, with heroine and all.  The problem being, that every story produced, either, for news or books, on Burma, all read from the same script, with the same storyline.  Everyone was careful not to cross the line, into unknown territory, or as some saw it, not so much unknown, but controversial.

It was and is still, looking more like an attempt to shut out all history before 1988/ 1990,  and to pretend that no other political party is capable of leading Burma out of the quagmire, but of course they cannot, because without the past, Suu Kyi would have no present!

There is not, and has never been, any a news outlet, Burmese or foreign, that mentions, nor offers, debate, across the whole spectrum of Burma’s pro-democracy platform.  This had meant that the process of moving closer to restoring democracy was in fact, blocked, and in effect, protected the interests of those profiting from Burma's suffering!

The PDP (Burma) with its newsletter, initially, caused some concern, because it confronted issues that others dare not take on, because they, lacked the inside knowledge of Burma’s political past, and others, because it was in their interests, not to!

It took great courage, sacrifice, and irreproachable selfless, dedicated conviction to duty, on the part of senior figures, within the PDP (Burma), to warn the people, that their future was fast becoming a treadmill to permanent slavery, and that, the time had come, to consider a new approach, one that only the PDP could open up, on their behalf!

The people of Burma are rapidly beginning to appreciate, what it is, they have on their side, in the form of the PDP (Burma), where a selection of people,  have  dedicated their lives, to the struggle of restoring democracy, to the whole of Burma, and not just a privileged  few..

UKorg, its permanent members, affiliated associates, and honorary members, wish the Parliamentary Democracy Party (Burma) every success in its quest for justice in Burma.  We would also, encourage the people of Burma, to place their trust in its leadership.  No other body of men/women, have dedicated their whole lives and existence, to bring Burma’s suffering to and end, and into the 21st century.

Burma's gateway to freedom and democracy, is with the PDP (Burma)

In civilised democracies with high moral attitudes, where we in the west, like to place ourselves, even though it may be a contradiction in terms, politicians can and do, play with time, seldom relating their actions to consequences. Military commanders on the other hand, though respectful of democratically elected parliamentarians, place consequence high on their list of priorities, often creating tension between the two, as many former, 4 star chiefs of Staff, have made apparent in recent years.
Those that play for time on the Burma front, are not particularly bothered about consequence, life still goes on for them, whereas; those who know what it is, to fight and survive every day, are only too aware of the consequences of time!

Update***:  Editorial continued:  For the more politically astute.

''Much of what is being  said today, was said yester-a-year. Burma has become locked in a time warp because those whom presume to be leaders are in fact prisoners of their own incompetence and have allowed the SPDC time and space to reinforce its grip on the people''.   The time was right for the; 'PDP Burma', to stand its ground after years of giving way to incompetence and self preservation.
Why the PDP?
Because it was the people's party yesteryear, is the party of unification today, and together; will be Burma's tomorrow!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Burma's future depends today on the strength of its past

Independence with democracy, was a priority over all else.  History however, is repeatedly interpreted wrongly by many historians, and is always underpinned by intrusive ideologies, and foreign interests, rather than what is beneficial to the population!

Burma's strength today & for the future, lies firmly on the shoulders of the:

'Parliamentary Democracy Party'  (PDP Burma)

Chaired by; Bo Aung Din, supported by loyal and life long dedicated members.

Whilst others continue, to sit back and wait for the fairy tale ending, as indeed, did the PDP Burma, during the early period, displaying unconditional loyalty and co-operation to the NLD, until the reality of the situation forced them to break away from the hypnotic inducement and misconceptions, brought about by foreign hype, and by doing so, have now reached a level of  national, unified support, unrivalled by any other pro-democracy group or political party, including that of the NLD!

Right now; Burma needs selfless capable leaders, not passive copies of the SPDC!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

'The Parliamentary Democracy Party'(PDP Burma) allow the people to think and speak for themselves, whilst they in turn, listen and debate with them,  whereas; others, tell them what to think and are deaf to their opinions and deny all debate!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------

Words spoken today, by those in exile, could have grave consequences for the people inside Burma, tomorrow.  This has been proven time & time again by exiles with no inside knowledge of the subject they talk about,  but continue to manipulate events for personal gain without accepting any responsibility toward repercussions that their  acutely inaccurate versions of Burma's political stage may bring about.  These individuals and their cohorts, are nothing more than opportunists whilst Burma's people still  suffer in silence!

It's time the people inside the country, had their voices heard and their frustrations aired.                         Their voice is the voice of the 'Parliamentary Democracy Party', their fist is the fist of the Parliamentary Democracy Party!

Never speak unless you are part of the subject, if you are not, research your subject well, taking into account every aspect of the subject with a willingness to accept the consequences of your errors with the same courtesies one would adopt with the rewards of success!

The PDP is supported by many diverse-community groups among them; the Karen under the leadership of the late,General Mya, also;the Chin, Kachin, Shan, Mon, Arakan and 6 million Rohingyas, who have pledged their support to the PDP, because of its inclusive policies".

Click on link**The ever expanding web of support for the Parliamentary Democracy Party, and the increasing popularity of its principles, comes about because it is the only political party in Burma, that is seen to interact with the every day people of Burma from every quarter with genuine common decency and respect for all, where there are otherwise; those from both sides, that treat them as a mere commodity to benefit their own ambitions, something the PDP(Burma) and the people, should not tolerate any longer"!        UKorg

Clippings from UKorg comment archives:

**It is naturally so, that the PDP of today proudly bears the hallmark of U Nu, **legitimising the PDP's political platform, however; that does not mean, it wears the same hat when it comes to policy.  U Nu was for then, the PDP is today. U Nu was right for his time and Burma prospered under his government of which no one can deny, the PDP today, embraces the 21st century, and the young who will live it

Up until now, progressfrom the NLD and NCGUB, which again, some observers claim is on going, is a fools virtual dream. Both groups are clutching at straws, not in opposition to the regime, as one would think, that is already a lost cause, instead, is now competing for favour from the people, in opposition to the ever growing support to the; PDP!

It must be acknowledged, in Burma’s case, the struggles biggest ploy since 1990, was for certain individuals living in exile, to hover in a 'political', no mans land, precisely their intention, because all they live for, is a comfortable lifestyle on the proceeds of donations, funds which should be benefiting the people of Burma, and will no doubt, conveniently disappear when democracy is returned to Burma.  Even ASSK has been manipulated by those that are supposedly, her 'allies'?

(PDP Burma)

By supporting the PDP, the people of Burma, will be 'actively' participating in their countries efforts toward both; the restoration of democracy and their own freedom, instead of being trapped and manipulated without hope, while there are those, whom since 1990, have  continued their  profit making enterprises on false promises made to the very people they use to draw sympathy donations on behalf of,  by taking money from those, whose compassion toward Burma may be genuine, but otherwise, succumb to gullibility and naivety, and those less so, who gain by extending the rule of the military regime!

Chairman; Bo Aung Din;  a former anti regime jungle fighter is today, more the 'active politician' and less of the; 'political activist'.  There are roles for both, each to their own.  If both keep to their perspective paths both will join hands in victory at the end of the road, if either strays onto the path of the other without consultation, disaster will strike!

'CAVEAT EMPTOR'

(concealed latent details)

The PDP's 'committed and unambiguous' stand against the proposed 2010 election which will be held under the regimes terms and conditions reveals to the people of Burma, that as a political party it stands firm in the interests of the people and is willing to put its fist into the fire.  However;**Burma 'must' tread; 'with an air of caution'!  **There are those; who would rather play a safe waiting game and not commit, preferring instead, to see what happens, only too then ally themselves with the winning side, with expectations of being handed all the privileges of a winning team, and whom, if accepted by the SPDC, will wield the same gun that has terrorised the people since 1962!!!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[PDP Burma] represent;  the seal of Burma's only official legacy, that of; Prime Minister U Nu, the countries only democratically elected leader.

'You have to commit body and soul, to win back democracy'!

#There are many different organisations that present themselves as defenders of; human rights, equality, world peace, democracy, freedom of speech, etc., etc., etc, however; all of them, 'without exception', are invariably linked to various ideologies, all of which; 'without exception.' have varying degrees of strict monitoring in place to disrupt or prevent any form of debate that is perceived as being against any one of them. All Ideologies, or the cultures that evolve from them, reap the same results if the fuse is lit by power brokers in order to fire up the people, turning them against those deemed as; outside of their own perverse minds. What is absurd, is that the powerful majority stay silent, whilst people are being turned against others for no other reason than to dominate.  It is a presence of ordinary every day people, whose only wish, is to live in harmony with others, without, the threat of intimidation, or to be forced to pursue on behalf of others, a doctrine that corrupts, disrupts, disables, through fear or favour, the people's will to stand against tyranny.  Individuals like Bo Aung Din, and his fellow party members, are kept out of the limelight, for this reason, because they have the character, experience and skills to lead their people to freedom, but influences beyond their control prefer the status quo!

One thing I agree with you is that most Burmese people in Burma and exile now have forgotten the role of of U Nu as a student leader of RU Students' Union that brought student movement to climax in 1936, His attempts to reach Penglong Agreement, without which there will be no Union of Burma, and His Leadership of AFPFL in  the post independence decade. His statesmanship not only brought Burma peace, prosperity and genuine democracy but also made our country a leading founder of Non-Aligned Movement in those cold war period of the world.

Prime Minister U Nu, Burma's first and only democratically elected leader, executed policies designed to bring about national reconciliation over time.  It was the 'agent provocatuers' from within his own party, and abroad, that scuttled his dream, and brought about the coup of 1962!
