We are the Urban Indian Wellness Consortium. The UIWC is located in Milwaukee and serves off-reservation American Indian communities in Southeastern Wisconsin. The UIWC is a diverse group of individuals from various professional and cultural backgrounds who are concerned with the unique wellness needs of the Urban American Indian. Through cooperation and traditional styles of meeting and leadership, the Consortium hopes to connect individuals from the Urban Indian community, organizations, researchers, and service providers with culturally appropriate resources.
