Adriana is currently in her fourth year at UIC and is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Anthropology with a Minor in International Business. She is interested in other cultures and their influence in how they do business in the Corporate World. As a member of LABS she has acquired different positions in E-board and has enhanced her leadership skills. Adriana likes helping the Latino community, networking and hopes to open doors for Latino students in the future.
Vicente Casas, Vice-President
Vicente is a first generation student and currently a junior, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting at UIC. He feels fortunate to find himself in a field of study that he enjoys and appreciates. He has hope and faith that through unity and support from each other we can increase our success rate, not only at the University level but beyond. Vicente is proud to be a part of an organization that is putting forth effort to give UIC Latinos opportunities to network, learn, and enjoy the college experience.
Born and raised in Chicago, IL, Angie is looking forward to being the first in her family to graduate from college. She is a Senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, hopes to obtain her Master's in the near future, and plans to one day open her own business. She expects to acquire sufficient experience through her LABS position so that her Latino Community can experience new opportunities and gain confidence to aim for even seemingly unattainable goals.
Cynthia K. Vargas, Treasurer
Cynthia is currently a Senior at UIC and she is working towards a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. She was raised in the western suburb of Naperville, but transitioned to Chicago four years ago to attend college. Her academics and extensive involvement with diverse student and professional organizations have enhanced her leadership skills. Cynthia joined LABS to help the Latino community, promote diversity and to help build network opportunities for other students.
Roxana Brito, Corporate Relations
Born and raised in Chicago, IL, Roxana is a fourth year student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in management with a concentration in International Business. She is currently working at Lincoln Park Savings Bank, a community bank on the north center side of Chicago, where she has acquire essential leadership and communication skills. Furthermore, she looks forward to gaining professional experience as well as enhancing her networking skills in order to help her succeed in the competitive business world through her current position in LABS. Roxana hopes to work hard along with the other members to promote diversity and to support other Latino students in their academic involvement.
Daisy Delgado, Philanthropy
Daisy is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance with a concentration in International Business. She is currently working for the University of Illinois Medical Center, where she has gained great knowledge and experience that will help her excel in her career. As philanthropy chair, she hopes to give back to the Latino community by organizing events for LABS members and Latinos to participate in various types of volunteer opportunities.
Marilyn Diaz, Webmaster
Born in Chicago, IL, Marilyn is the only girl in a family of six and the only one attending college. She is currently at UIC pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Communications. Marilyn strives in overcoming the struggles that come with being part of a minority and enjoys networking, gaining professional experience, as well as personal growth through LABS. She is embracing every opportunity and appreciates the support that has been given to her. In the future, she hopes to be a role model for minorities and is passionate about promoting diversity.
Having recently transferred to UIC, Antonio is excited to push himself to his full potential at a new location. He is attending the College of Business in pursuit of a degree in Information and Decision Sciences.

Jose, currently a Senior at UIC, is working on obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. He was raised south of Chicago in the town of Chicago Heights but, presently is adapting to the city’s faster-pace lifestyle. The experience and knowledge gained by being a part of LABS will help Jose develop into a more prepared and competitive person in the business world. In addition, networking opportunities will benefit Jose throughout his career in business.

Daisy was raised in the suburb of Bensenville and presently living in Chicago. She is currently a Junior and pursuing a career in the Business world with a major in Marketing and minor in International Business and Spanish. She has been a part of LABS for almost three years, and has held two positions on e-board. Daisy is a very determined person and will not settle for less. Her goals might be high standard but she knows they are very attainable if she puts in the hard work.

Alfredo Estrada is a staff advisor for the organization and has now served on the LABS e-board for a few years. He graduated from the College of Business at UIC and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing. He currently is a recruitment and admissions counselor for the Latin American Recruitment and Educational Services (LARES) program at UIC. He is a huge Chicago White Sox fan and in his spare time he enjoys hanging out with friends and going to concerts.
