Graduate Division Requirements

 Overview

There are three sets of "requirements" (specific requirements and proficiencies) for all Botany Department graduate programs.
  • Graduate Division
  • Botany Department Proficiencies
  • Track Proficiencies
The details of these requirements vary according to your specific graduate program (MS-A, MS-B, and PhD).

You, and your faculty advisors, need to monitor your progress in all three sets of requirements.  Your Progress Form is the vehicle for doing this.

The Graduate Division requirements are set by the University and are the same for all equivalent graduate programs.  The Graduate Division requirements are quite general and are satisfied by specific activities which usually take place within the Botany Department.

The Graduate Division requirements consist of course accomplishments, forms that document specific tasks (such as passing an exam), and the completion of a thesis or dissertation.

 Graduate Division Forms

The forms required by the Graduate Division are discussed in other parts of the Graduate Program Workflow.  The are summarized here, along with links to the workflow step in which they logically fit.  Copies of these forms (as PDF documents) are attached to this page.
