We will be taking our first field trip to the GA Bureau of Investigation on Wednesday, October 13th. We will depart around 8:00am and return by lunchtime. If you have morning classes, the director of the CJSP can write you a letter that most professors will accept as an excused absence. If you want to come on this trip, you will need to be present at our next meeting on September 27th to fill out the paperwork. If you have conflicts please let me know. The trip is free to all members (ie - those who have paid their dues) of the CJ Society. We also need volunteers to drive - you will be fully reimbursed for the gas that you use.
If you have any questions, feel free to email crimjust@uga.edu. |

The Criminal Justice Society will have our second meeting this Monday, September 13, at 6:30pm in Baldwin Hall room 302. We will be watching a documentary on the international sex slave trade and discussing the implications for the criminal justice field, such as whether or not prostitutes should be sent through the system, and what sorts of punishments are appropriate for the traffickers. Snacks will be provided, and the documentary will last no longer than an hour. We look forward to seeing you there! |
