Alumni Panel Friday, November 6th at 3:00 in Baldwin 326

Just wanted to remind you that the CJ Alumni Panel is tomorrow at 3:00 in room 326. We will be having some alumni speak about their awesome careers in organizations such as the Secret Service and the DEA, so you don't want to miss out! If you have class during this period, you can pick up an excuse form from the CJ office on the second floor of Baldwin.

October 26th Meeting Cancelled

I apologize for the late notice, but the CJ Society meeting scheduled for today at 6:00 pm has been canceled.  We will be sending out details within the next week about our November meeting.

Two quick things:

1) The CJ Alumni Panel will be held on Friday, November 6th at 3:00pm.  This is a great learning opportunity as it will allow you to interact with former UGA CJ students that now have careers ranging from state prosecution to local and federal law enforcement to crime scene investigation.

2) Also, our second field trip of the year is scheduled for Tuesday, November 3rd and we will be touring the Gwinett Legal Complex and even have the opportunity to meet with the Gwinett County District Attorney.  We will be leaving at 12 and should hopefully return by around 5-6.  If you would like to sign up for this trip, please stop by Mrs. Arnold's office in the CJ office by this Thursday at the latest (Friday is a furlough day, so the office will be closed).

Hey thanks to everyone who attended the meeting--this is going to be an awesome year!  Check the latest updates in the Announcement section of the website, and be sure to attend the next meeting on Monday, September 28th at 6p.m in Baldwin room 302.  We will try not to discuss too much administrative business as the focus will be watching a documentary on methamphetamines

Thanks for visiting our website!  We are still in the process of loading all of our updated information on the web page, but we should have the site fully functional by the beginning of the school year.  We are planning a truly exciting year complete with field trips, guest lecturers, movie screenings, a UGA Criminal Justice Studies Alumni Panel, and a Federal Law Enforcement Training Seminar.  We would like to emphasize that students of all majors are welcome to join.  Check out the links in the sidebar to learn more about the activities we are planning for next year.  Announcements will be posted soon!
