The workshops are not only aimed to provide educational information but to reach out to students in a personal way by sharing our own experiences of how we went through applying to college, finding our major, having a role model make a difference, or dealing with stress. By sharing our own experiences with the students we hope to connect with them and inspire them to do great things in life, and most importantly which Project’s UP main theme is: to EMPOWER our next generation!

Border Health Project with LMSA

Migrant farm workers are one of the most underserved communities in the United States. Their health is comparable to those who reside in a third world country. The Migrant Project allows medical students and undergraduates to bring a mobile clinic to San Diego sites. The clinic includes: educational presentations, medical care, and donation of goods. CCM members have the opportunity to shadow doctors/medical students, learn how to take vitals, take medical history forms, and learn about the life of migrant farm workers.
