So the 2011 con is now over and done with, but we would like to hear your feedback on your experience and potentially what could be better or what you would like to see. To provide input, please post on the forum under the "Suggestions for 2012" topic ( http://z3.invisionfree.com/U_Con_at_UConn/index.php?showtopic=55 ). Thanks! |

First of all, I'd like to let everyone know that Friendly Fire is returning providing our video game/magic the gathering needs, as they will be hosting LAN tournaments as well as the new set release for MTG! Furthermore, the schedule should be finalized soon -- I'll post that once it's done. |

Hey Everyone,
I finished the panel/events schedule tonight, and once I get the OK from UConn I'll be posting it online! Less than 2 weeks until the con! |

Hey everyone,
I've made some changes in the "About" section of the site, updating the times of the convention as well as the guest speakers. Furthermore, for those who have contacted me about the reservation block, I need the information from you by tonight, otherwise I'm going to have to e-mail the Nathan Hale Inn and tell them it's a no go, and the rate will go back to the normal amount. Expect more changes to the website in the coming week! |

Unfortunately, the new website (which can be see here: http://ucon.zapto.org) will not be ready for this year's convention. We will therefore be using the old website for the current convention and the time being. Hopefully the new site will be up and running soon. Thank you for your continuing patience, Alex Fogarty |

The first ever U-Con at UConn is over and done with, and I just wanted to spread my thanks around. Since there are so many people to thank I will just list off all the people I can remember at this sleep deprived point....if you are not on the list it only slipped my mind, and I am terribly terribly sorry and I thank YOU for everything that you did for this convention.
I would like to thank:
- Every person who came to this convention
- Every cosplayer who dressed up even given the insane cold outside
- All the vendors for making the trip and being so understanding
- Doug and Rob Walker...you are the reason why people came...you guys rock!
- Student Union staff...everyone was extremely helpful and efficient...this all wouldn't have been possible without you
- All the speakers and hosts of panels and events...it seems like everyone's event went really well and we hope to get you all back next year!
- All the clubs involved in the creation and coordination of this convention
- Friendly Fire Gaming...probably the most awesome 360 setup I've ever seen given the space and tables
- The incomparable volunteer staff...sadly the only thing we could give you was a hard time, but you pulled through...I love my friends ^_^
- Again...anyone who came to this convention, talked about it, got excited about it, brought positive attitudes...I thank you soooo much.
We are already working on the next U-Con at UConn for next year, and we will post updates about it as much as we can. Management will be switched around (as to be expected), but we will live and learn from this con and make the next one even better!! Thank you again, and cya next year!

As the main page lists, registration at the convention will open at 12 PM noon on Friday February 5th in front of the Student Union Theatre. For Saturday and Sunday the table moves to outside of the ballrooms on the second floor, and opens each day when the con starts (9 AM and 11 AM respectively). CYA THERE!!!

Since the number of pre-registered peoples keeps going up at an alarming rate, we wanted to still allow some exclusivity to those who made good and pre-registered early. As such, pre-registration is now closed, however you can still register at the con if you missed your chance to pre-register (it will simply be in a different line is all). Anyways, with less than a week away I hope everyone is pumped for the greatest FREE convention of all time!
