Dear UCM Graduate Students, I am pleased to share with you a new opportunity for UC graduate students: the UCEC Institute for Training in Educational Evaluation. The goal of the Institute is to offer an excellent opportunity for graduate students in the University of California system to participate in an intensive training in educational evaluation over a period of three days in Santa Barbara. Participants will attend method, theory, and skill-based workshops in educational evaluation conducted by nationally recognized UC scholars. Additionally, graduate students will have the opportunity to share their individual research interests and receive feedback from UC professors and other graduate students from a variety of disciplines who are also interested in educational evaluation. You can learn more about this opportunity from the Institute web page http://www.education.ucsb.edu/ucec/Institute.html. Application information is available on the site. Please note that the deadline to receive all required materials is April 30th at 5pm Pacific. If you have any questions about the Institute, please contact the UCEC via email ucec@education.ucsb.edu with a subject line of “UCEC Institute Inquiry” or via telephone at 805-893-7678. -- William R.
