Who we are:
The UB swing dance club was begun by Brian and Sharon Conner with an effort to bring the joy of swing dancing into the Buffalo area. The purpose of the UB Swing Dance Club is to provide University at Buffalo students and the surrounding Buffalo community with swing dancing lessons and the opportunity to enjoy, learn, and practice the art of swing dancing. You can view our constitution here.
We want to create an enjoyable, open, and friendly environment where you will feel welcome, regardless of your age or abilities. We hope that through our club you will benefit and grow in your skill and love of swing dancing while making friendships and meeting others who also love to swing dance. We dance East Coast, Lindy Hop, and Charleston and we welcome any other form of swing dancing as well.
Events:
This semester our meetings are slightly irregular. Most weeks we have our regular Wednesday Night Dance from 6:30-8 in the Flag Room (see directions for a map), however some weeks we instead are meeting on Thursday Nights in 322 Fillmore also from 6:30 to 8. Check the calendar to see where we'll be each week.
Other great swing events in the Buffalo area can be found at Swing Buffalo.
