PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

I am joined with a dedicated crew of professional musicians who serve on our state board, to welcome
you to an inspiring and educational year with the Utah Chapter of the American Orff-Schulwerk
Association.

LOCAL WORKSHOPS
Get ready for four workshops that promise to revitalize your teaching. Workshop presenters are tops
in their fields of expertise.

November 7, DAVID FREGO, Dalcroze Eurhythmics
January 23, ORFF BOARD MEMBERS, Pedagogy & Process
March 6, CINDY HALL & DIANNE KREHBIEL, Orff Curriculum Integration
Workshops are designed for classroom teachers, music and P.E. specialists, administrators, and
individuals who are looking for ways to work with children in active learning. College credit through
Utah State University and licensure points are available.
We meet at Rowland Hall, 720 South Guardsman Way, near the University of Utah. It is easy to find
if you park in the north parking lot. Registration and continental breakfast begin at 8:30 a.m., and
instruction is 9:00-12:00 and 1:00-3:00. A first-time guest of a members may come for free. Guests

NATIONAL CONFERENCE
Join us in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, November 11-14, for the Professional Development Conference.
The days will be full of presentations, performances, exhibits, and opportunities to network with
