Graduate Association of Political Science

G.A.P.S.

The Graduate Association of Political Science (G.A.P.S.) is an organization devoted to creating the well-rounded graduate student in the Political Science Department at the University at Albany.

G.A.P.S. is responsible, in part, for bringing guest lecturers to campus, hosting film forums, and professional development conferences. The organization also attempts to promote a social atmosphere conducive to developing friendships and professional contacts. In the past, G.A.P.S. has also organized charity fund raisers and other community service activities.

G.A.P.S.  is open to every graduate student at the University at Albany. It is funded through graduate student fees and is organized through the GSO.

A state is not a mere society, having a common place, established for the prevention of mutual crime and for the sake of exchange...
Political society exists for the sake of noble actions, and not of mere companionship.
