About Us

Goals of The Wildlife Society:

* Increase awareness of wildlife management and conservation issues

* Open dialogue between diverse fields of study regarding today's wildlife issues

* Encourage participation in wildlife-related issues by both students and the public


What TWS offers you:

The Wildlife Society, founded in 1937, is an international, non-profit scientific and educational organization serving and representing wildlife professionals in all areas of wildlife conservation and resource management. Our goals are:

* To promote excellence in wildlife stewardship through science and education.
* Develop and promote sound stewardship of wildlife resources and of the environments upon which wildlife and humans depend;
* Undertake an active role in preventing human-induced environmental degradation;
* Increase awareness and appreciation of wildlife values; and
* Seek the highest standards in all activities of the wildlife profession.
