About Gonzalez's work:

Dark, somber and foreboding, Arthur Gonzalez's works encourage serious deliberation and reflection on the relationship between personal concerns and world issues. Raw in form, lacking in smoothness and rough in finish, the ceramic sculptures give glimpses of a conversation or a contemplation in progress. Gonzalez's creations of ceramic and found objects reveal visions and feelings that are not polished but ongoing processes of gyrating thoughts and churning emotions that threaten to erupt into reality and consciousness to defy the fantasy of a peaceful
experience.

Want to Be an ASA Member?  Here's how...
1. Regular Member: This means that you come to regularly scheduled meetings during the semester, held weekly on Tuesdays @ 7pm in Arts 311 (spring 2009). Being a regular member means that you show up to meetings on a regular basis and if you miss 3 or more consequtive meetings you’ll be taken off the regular member list. Being a regular member:
>>Receive ASA emails about meetings, upcoming events, and more
>>Rent lockers at the old price: large = $6 and small = $3
>>Attend ASA sponsored workshops and events for free or reduced prices
>>Make a difference in the arts on campus
To get the regular member discount on a locker(s), you must drop your locker payment and form off at an ASA meeting. You can’t rent a locker for $6 or $3 unless we’ve seen you at a meeting.

 2. Distance Member: This is for people who want to be involved with the ASA but can’t make it to meetings due to a class, work, or other conflict. You can still be involved and get your opinions heard. You can email thoughts, concerns, and ideas to the ASA email and get them heard at a future ASA meeting. You can also give your input on discussion and voting items via email. Being a distance member:
>>Receive ASA emails about meetings, upcoming events, and more
>>Rent lockers at the old price: large = $6 and small = $3
To be a distance member you need to write a letter to the ASA explaining why you need to be a distance member instead of a regular member, and why you want to be involved. We’ll look over your request at the next scheduled meeting and get back to you asap. Just remember to include your email.
