The above picture, which encapsulates many of the features of our pleasant seaside town, was drawn by one of our members, Joan Colburn. Weston-super-Mare. Once just a small fishing village on the Somerset coast looking across the Severn estuary to South Wales, the town first became popular as a seaside resort in Victorian times. It is now well-known to visitors from all over the country. It is home to one of the country's most active U3A groups, with over 900 members participating in excess of sixty different activities.
