NEW U3As in Queensland

U3A is on the move – thanks to some very strong and enthusiastic support three new U3As have been formed this year  – the first in Queensland since 2008!  Atherton Tablelands, Beaudesert and Roma have joined the U3A family and are providing many interesting programs for their members. The Caboolture branch of Bribie Is U3A is progressing towards becoming an independent incorporated association. Pittsworth are established as a branch of Toowoomba and recently Howard has been established as a branch of  Maryborough  . We are also responding to inquiries form Munduberra and Blackbutt.  

 Please call, email or write if you need help in setting up U3A programs in your town.

AGM 

The Annual General Meeting of the Network will be held during the State Conference on the Gold Coast on 5-6 June . Please support the network by sending a delegate from your U3A.

U3A Australian Alliance

This national Alliance of U3A will foster closer co-operation between U3As across Australia, coordinating where necessary a national standpoint on issues of mutual interest.

Principal activities will be to facilitate networking between states, to coordinate a national vision for the movement and to establish links with kindred seniors and educational bodies at national level.

At this stage the national committee will comprise Presidents of all State Networks in Australia plus U3A Online. Current Chairman of the Alliance is Lindsay Glen  of Victoria.
