Go4Gold - Ageing with Vitality

June 5th & 6th

The combined Gold Coast U3As will host the
2012 U3A QUEENSLAND STATE CONFERENCE!

Excitement is mounting as work advances for the annual 2 day event where all Queensland U3As sit down together in one place and share their vision for the next twelve months.  This year’s hosts are the 5 Gold Coast U3As and the venue is the new community hall in the business and tourist hub of Southport.

Come along and -

  • Meet your fellow members and the Network delegates, share each others innovations and achievements, welcome new U3A’s to the fold, catch up with old friends and make new ones.
  • Learn from powerful speakers in business, education, community affairs, health and fitness, etc.
  • Develop ideas and find inspiration at practical workshops.
  • Relax and refresh at lunch and coffee breaks and enjoy the Network Conference Dinner with friends and partners in an informal atmosphere that encourages conversation and mixing.

Members Extraordinaire:

During the Network Conference on the Gold Coast this year we want to recognise the unique qualities that exist amongst our collective members. So many have remarkable stories of achievements they have undertaken over the last few years since retirement.

Perhaps they have built an aeroplane, completed a marathon, won a special award or education qualification, published a book, sailed across an ocean, or been a quiet achiever in a unique way to their community.  We want to share those stories in a small forum in an informal interview lead by one of our local members.

We are asking you to propose 3 members from your own U3A who are special and remarkable people.
