The U3A Network - Qld AGM was held on Saturday 25th June at the RSL Club Events Centre , Maroochydore. Representatives attending were from Townsville, Noosa, Sunshine Coast, Bribie Island, Brisbane, North Gold Coast, Beaudesert, Granite Belt, Toowoomba, and U3A Online . Annual Report U3A Network - Queensland Inc. -- 2010/2011 Notes from brainstorming session Conference in Western Australia September 2011WA U3A State Conference 2011 A two day WA U3A Conference will be held on Monday 19 September and
Tuesday 20 September 2011, at the Duxton Hotel in St Georges Terrace,
Perth. The theme will be change and how we can manage it. Hence the title: U3A in the 21st Century - Riding the Tiger of Change. There will be a number of well known speakers including UWA Vice-Chancellor Professor Alan Robson, and Winthrop Professor Alan Harvey. In addition there will be six workshop/presentation sessions each day where participants will be able to choose between concurrent topics. These will include Communication in the 21st Century, Harnessing the Power of the Mind, Marketing U3A, Art Therapy, U3A Online, and Presentation Skills for the Mortally Terrified. For 2½ days the cost will be $90. This covers lunch on two days, morning and afternoon teas, the Happy Hour, and the informal reception.
