Tyngsboro PTO

PTO Budget and Mission

Our Objectives

The Tyngsborough PTO is an organization made up of parents who wish to be involved in their children’s education and in developing positive and open communication with teachers and school administrators.  It is advisory in nature and works with the school administration, staff, and parents of Tyngsborough’s Early Childhood Center, Elementary School and Middle School to enrich the learning experiences of our students by sponsoring educational and social programs that compliment their classroom curriculum.

We host Roller Skating, Bingo Nights, a Welcome Back BBQ, the ECC Parent Breakfast, and the Celebration of Learning.  This year we will collect Box Tops for Education, run the TES Walking Club, and organize volunteers for all school events.

Proceeds from our fundraisers will be used to meet our 2008-2009 Budget of $46,270.  This includes funds for new grants which are submitted by school staff as the needs arise.  Our largest expenditure is for Arts & Enrichment programs that are brought into our schools.  These professional educators and performers give assemblies, work with classroom groups to enhance the curriculum, and provide varied learning experiences within the Massachusetts Frameworks.
