Taking a holiday in Wales? This beautiful cottage is available for short-term lets – ideal for holiday makers, bird-watchers, walkers, cyclists, people who like fishing or even as a writer's retreat. There is also very little light pollution (the County of Ceredigion has the lowest density population in the UK) so it's also good for star-gazing...
It sleeps up to 5 people (a main bedroom with a four-poster double bed, and a guest room with a double and a single).
The cottage is not down in the valley with the village, but up a fairly steep hill. This gives you wonderful views across the valley from the front windows. You will be staying in the foothills of the Cambrian Mountains, surrounded by areas of Forestry Commission land, so beautiful walks and drives can be found in all directions.
The cottage itself probably dates back to the days of lead mining, but has recently been completely restored and re-decorated.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome, but please do not allow them upstairs or on the furniture, and when walking, observe the country code for sheep country.

Ty Cariad has central heating, but also a log-burning stove which can be used (please follow the instructions in the cottage handbook).
WiFi internet is available, as well as a Sky television package and DVD player.
We appreciate that you may not receive a signal on your mobile phone everywhere around Pont-rhyd-y-groes, and there is a phone in the house you may use, but please ask family and friends to call you back for extended conversations.
The cottage is self-catering. There's a small but useful shop in the village, or Aberystwyth is 12 miles away - but it's a beautiful drive!
We provide bed linen, etc - but for further details of provision of towels, fuel, etc - please contact us.
