Membership renewal occurs on an annual basis, approximately March 1 to the end of February the following year. Annual suggested donation is $20 (monies support the garden acquiring common tools and general maintenance). If you are currently on the wait list and we have a plot available you will receive a phone call or email before March 1 with your plot assignment. Plots are allocated on a first come/ first serve basis. If you receive a plot in 2009 you will be told the location of your plot and the day/time of our New Member Welcome Day where you will be able to see your plot in person and receive a Membership Packet with Membership Agreement. Membership Agreements and suggested donations are due by the March 28 General Member Meeting for new members. PLOT REALLOCATION FOR CURRENT MEMBERS Current garden members that wish to relocate into an open plot may do so before plots are allocated to new members. If you are a current garden member and wish to relocate please attend the Plot Reallocation Session in the garden. (Date and time are posted to our Discussion Group.) This is the only opportunity (until next year) you may relocate plots. Movement can only be made to a standard sized plot (aprox 100 sq ft). For example, a member that currently has a 300 sq ft plot can only relocate to a standard 100 sq ft plot, not 3 new standard-sized plots. The 300 sq ft plot will be reallocated into three new plots. COMMUNITY PLOT Would you like to work on the community plot? Perhaps you've visited the garden and would relish the opportunity to get your hands dirty every once in a while. Perhaps you enjoy fresh vegetables, herbs, and flowers and would like to work together to grow them and share in the harvest. Perhaps you have an individual plot or are on the wait list for one. Everyone is welcome. The Community Plot works together every Saturday, April 1 to October 31, 11am to 2pm and Wednesday, 6pm to 8pm. Come on out and join us! To get more involved in our discussion, email a request to join: tcggroupadmin(at)gmail(dot)com. What is it? In 2008, a group of Two Coves Garden members formed a committee to create a Community Plot. It is a place where all members of the community-- individual plot gardeners, and non, are welcome to garden, harvest, and in general, enjoy the garden together. In 2009 this plot is a reality, but needs help, muscles and support from gardeners and the community. The Community Plot is located in the central space, just after the entrance. Together we beautify the berm and cultivate the central area. The Community Plot is a space for vegetable experimentation (perennials, space-needers, group pollinators, etc), to harvest abundance, to giveaway, to work together, for education, and whatever else we can dream together to make the Two Coves Garden a greater space for community!
