Getting Started
Of course the first thing before you start your twitter journey is. What is your purpose of being on twitter? Are you on twitter to promote your business? Promote a new book? Are you an entertainer  trying to establish yourself to null new fans? Or are you there just to socialize and meet new friends. Addressing these questions will lay a foundation to determine. What kind of twitter friends you will look for. How you will design your home page establishing your twitter null. Based on your reason for Twittering, make a list three types of people that you believe would be interested in your product or business. You will use these to begin your search

Opening a new account(s)
Create and opening an account will take less than 10 minutes.of course go to twitter.com. When selecting a username, I would recommend you create a user name that either represents your company product or just simply use your FirstnameLastname. If that nullnull available do not add any dashes or underscores why because if you decide to utilize Twitter on  mobile devices you will have to do some tedious finger gymnastics to get those characters in.  An example of a Twitter user name  @twitgurureviewl” which is mine.

Completely fill out your profile fill out the bio etc. Remember this is your online footprint that represents either you or your business it will give you a personal brand recognition on twitter. so include try to include a photo of yourself or one pertaining to your company or business. Including a link to your business or null or book etc. is a must.

How to start your following                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                when you first sign up give Twitter temporary access to your existing email accounts. Twitter will scan these accounts and return you a list of contacts already using Twitter. You can select some or all of these contacts and have Twitter automatically load them into your followers and following lists. Twitter will also generate a list of your contacts who do not have Twitter accounts and will allow you to select the ones you'd like to invite to the system. If you're the last of your friends to join Twitter, this will be a short list. For most of the world, this is going to be a very long list. Try not to spam everyone you know with a Twitter invite. Take the time to browse through this list and to invite only the people you have a true interest in following and who you think might have a true interest in following you.

Follow Famous people or people you just admire
Many people find Twitter find to be a bit  confusing to get started or intimidating. There are unlimited accounts at an average of 10,000 people joining a day. Lured by such famous tweeter's such as Oprah Winfrey, Tony Robins, Kevin Spacey, Saquelle O' Neil, Lance Armstrong, Tom Cruise, Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore, even the President of the United States Tweets. I can understand how this would intimidate someone. I by no means am I an expert but I felt compelled to share my tips and insights and  I hope that they are helpful to someone just getting started.

Before you start Tweeting
I suggest you start posting tweets before you start following others. This will create value and significance and highlight your likes and dislikes laying a foundation of your presence on twitter.
When others do searches it will foster up conversations and attract others of similar interests. So be sure to share your most recent
null posts, your most recent E-Book , business project or whatever you are currently working on of value in life at the time.

Learning Twitter Commands                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     While almost anything that needs to be done with your Twitter account can be handled on your Twitter home page, it's far easier to learn at least a few Twitter commands. Twitter commands will allow you to invite, follow, stop following, turn updates on and off, check your stats and a variety of other things from your device of choice.

The Simple Commands are:

follow username - You'll both follow and receive updates from this person. Note: you don't have to put the @ in front of the username for this one.

on username - If you are following a user, but haven't opted to get their updates to your IM or phone, you can use this command to start reading their tweets.

off username - If you'd like to keep following a user, but no longer wish to get their updates on your IM or phone, you use this command to stop reading their tweets. You'll still be able to read them when you visit the Twitter home page though.

help - This command sends back a list of commands like the one I'm going over here. If you only learn one command to start with, let it be help.

stats - Sends back a quick update telling you how many followers you have and how many people you are following.

sending direct messages:
You can either send mesages to a big group or you can also use it to send adirect message to a specific user. An example if you would like to send a message to a Twitter user that you don't have an email address for. to send these messages simply type "d username message text" into whatever program you use to send your tweets. You do not need to put the @ in front of the username. You can also send a direct message by going to a user's Twitter page and clicking "direct message" in the right hand column. Since users can opt to have direct messages sent to them via email as well as via Twitter, this can also be a good way to get a message to someone who might not be paying attention to their Twitter feed at the moment.

Twitter Daily follow limits
this means you cannot exceeded one of the following limits:
1,000 updates per day
1,000 direct messages per day
100 API requests per hour
Twitter does not limit the number of people who can follow you, but they have put limits in place to stop what they have defined as the aggressive following of others. All accounts are allowed to follow 2000 people. After that, follow limits are based on the number of people who are following you. The follow limits are mandatory and Twitter will not lift them, everyone including high profile and null accounts are subject to the limits.

Twitter integrates via with your mobile and the major IM services
If you sign up to receive updates via your mobile phone, and you begin following a lot of people, you are going to get a mass amount of text messages. If you don'y have unlimited tex messaging, you will also get hit with expensive data fees on your next bill.  A better option, if you already use an instant messenger program is to simply channel your messages through it. You can update to a twitter application later when you get the hang of it.

Twitter easily null with null, null null, null and Jabber, so if you use any of these null programs, you can be up and running in no time.

Once you've registered your mobile phone or instant messenger program, you're setup to send tweets from any of them. On your mobile phone, you simply text your message to 40404. Twitter will use caller ID to match your phone up with your account and to broadcast it to the world. If you're using null or Jabber, you'll need to add twitter@twitter.com as a friend. If you're on AOL'null instant messenger, you'll add "TwitterIM" to your buddy list.

Finally, you can change the settings on your Twitter page to customize it. That way, whenever someone visits your personal Twitter site, they'll get a taste for your personality, branding, or what you represent.
