Boris a.k.a. DK Lord Byron's Adam Boris was our first Birman. Completely irresistable as a kitten. Foolishly we thought we were only going to look at some pedigree kittens that seemed overpriced compared to normal cats. We were instantly transformed into a state of desparation to purchase him immediately. He has matured into an easy going cat who loves to have his tummy tickled. He is castrated and this means he cannot contribute his genes to the Birman race. Though I am sure he thinks he is the father when kittens happen to come along. Boris originally came from the loving home of Sanne Pedersen:
(And both his mum and dad are gorgeous!) Click here to be redirected to his pedigree on the birman database. As Boris grew up we could see that he needed more company than we could give him, so when he was about 10 months we were lucky enough to find his life partner Bellis... | ![]() Bellis was a beautiful kitten lovingly bred by Karen and Camilla Sass: We had looked at another cute little kitten first, but with Bellis we immediately got the feeling that she was the one. Bellis has an exceptional coat, that attracts static electricity. As a kitten she unfortunately had to endure a little shock every time we petted her :(. Bellis is more co-ordinated than Boris and is a very loving cat just under the surface. She loves to be combed, and to be close to people, but does not like to be grabbed. It is her that will often greet strangers, (with Boris usually taking an extra 10 minutes to start acting bravely). Bellis is a super mum, and has had some exceptional kittens. (Many thanks to Julie og Susanne for the use of their International and european champion stud cats.) Bellis' pedigree can be found here. When Bellis' B litter came along there was a certain little kitten, that I couldn't quite bring myself to sell.... | Bellatrix, named after the star, but often associated with the witch in Harry Potter. She lives up to her namesake in that she will attack anything that moves, and isn't a lady to be messed with lightly. But if she ever uses up her limitless energy, she definitely wants to curl up next to me. She is the cat that wants to sleep under the duvet the most. I believe Bellatrix has the potential to be a top show cat, but time will show if she lives up to expectations. On the other hand if she doesn't enjoy being washed, shampooed and blow-dried, it could be that she just stays home. Bellatrix's Pedigree can be found here. |
