I love my cats and the kittens will always have a special place in my heart. That means I want them to have a good life. My cats shall be loved, and their needs should be prioritised. This means that their living space needs to be adapted to their needs, that they will not be exposed to a climate full of cigarette smoke, and it is strongly recommended that they have company (preferably another cat). An understanding that cats like to choose for themselves in most things goes a long way to a cat having a happy life. Provision should be made for unexpected veterinary treatment, and for this pet insurance is recommended. Cats need also to be thought of if you should move, go on holiday etc. An average birman lives between 12 and 15 years, and will need caring for during their lifetime. My kittens can go to a home where they can come out out, but free access to the outdoors in a built up urban setting is not recommended.. In the end the kittens seem to gravitate towards their new owners, and you should find a kitten that you feel some sort of connection with. |
